Plac Nowy is a historic square which gave place to the Jewish market back in the pre-war days. You can find its rotunda serving as a kosher slaughterhouse, nowadays still can find buther shops inside. Sorrounding the roundhouse, the open stalls offer you fresh produce daily but the market really is full of life on the end of the week.
At Plac Nowy Jewish market in Kraków the scene is often unpredictable on the weekends. On Fridays mornings there are usually rabbit swap and pigeon fair from 6am to 9am, so you can immerse yourself into one of the most bizarre spectacles you’ll witness. Saturdays are for junk and antiques and Sundays are often about clothing. You can pick from loads of fuzzy and warm coats and boots as they are essentials when the Polish winter comes in.
