The Lindau Harbour Christmas Market (Lindauer Hafenweihnacht) is a Christmas market in Germany, set against the picturesque backdrop of Lindau’s historic harbour on Lake Constance (Bodensee). The market features around 90 stalls selling handcrafted gifts, regional products and seasonal food and drink. Its setting by the harbour with the lighthouse and Bavarian lion statue creates an beautiful backdrop, particularly when illuminated at night.
Visitors can enjoy a varied programme of entertainment, with daily musical performances. Families will appreciate the fairy tale readings in the enchanted Zauberwald (Magic Forest) and dedicated children’s activities.
A distinctive feature is the Christmas Ship (Weihnachtsschiff), moored in the harbour from 24th November to 15th December. This floating venue offers festive dining with lovely views across the lake. The market is also connected to neighbouring Bregenz in Austria via a special boat service, allowing visitors to experience the Christmas markets of both cities in one day.
