Chelsea Flea is an open-air market held every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm, year-round and rain or shine. The location of the flea market is at the heart of Manhattan, and has been running since 1976 and features up to 135 vendors selling antiques, collectibles, ephemera, decorative arts, vintage clothing, and jewellery, including Art Deco and mid-century modern pieces. Many of the vendors are long-standing traders who regularly bring fresh stock, so the selection changes from visit to visit. The market is now run by the team behind Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg, with food and beverage vendors also on site.
