The Green City Market at Avondale is an indoor weekly farmers’ market in Chicago, IL held during the colder winter months from December through March. It offers dozens of local, sustainable farmers and food producers from the Midwest, selected for their sustainable farming practices.
Shopper can find fresh seasonal produce, cheeses, breads, meats, and specialty foods sold directly by producers. They also host cooking demos, chef events, and programs about healthy eating and sustainable farming. Click here for an overview of all vendors.
Green City Market operates in three Chicago locations: West Loop and Lincoln Park (outdoor markets open from spring to autumn) and Avondale (indoor during winter). Currently the Avondale location is closed for the 2025 outdoor season. The new schedule will be announced later this year.
