The Design Market Delfshaven is a twice-yearly event in Rotterdam, typically held in a building filled with creative studios, where talented local designers showcase and sell their work. This edition, however, takes place outdoors in the courtyard. Each year, the organizers carefully curate a lineup of creatives for both days of the market.
The market features a diverse array of products including small furniture, interior accessories, clothing and textiles, unique art and prints, handmade glass designs, ceramics, and lighting. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments from various food stalls while shopping.
During this upcoming edition, around 40 Rotterdam-based makers—including designers, illustrators, and ceramicists—will display their creations over two days. The event has grown significantly since its inception; what began as a mini Christmas market in one studio with four participating designers has blossomed into a major attraction, drawing over 1,400 visitors and more than 40 designers in its most recent summer edition.
