The antique market Haarlem is a brocante market in The Netherlands held twice a month on Saturdays from May until September. It takes place at the Dreef, a historical promenade in Haarlem lined with tall trees. It is the perfect place for antique enthusiasts to discover curiosities, paintings, small furniture, interior decoration, tableware, silverware, glasses, Dutch and Portuguese tiles, linnen, children’s toys, and other bric-à-brac. There are around 90 stalls filled with antiques.
Haarlem is a historic city located just a 15 minute train ride away from Amsterdam. It is a great destination for a day trip and can also be an ideal alternative to staying in Amsterdam for those seeking the charm of a Dutch small town. Besides the antique market, there is also a weekly food market in the city centre. Haarlem is also a host of one of the best Christmas markets in the Netherlands. The Haarlem Christmas market is on for a long weekend in every December and can get really crowded.
