The Zoutsloot Christmas Market (Zoutsloter Kerstmarkt) is a one-day Christmas market in Harlingen, in Friesland in the Netherlands.
This annual tradition takes you to the intimate Zoutsloot, where more than a hundred stalls invite you to browse through artisanal delicacies, festive decorations, and unique Christmas gifts. You can taste freshly baked apple strudel, Dutch mini pancakes (poffertjes), and hot chocolate while the sound of live music and Christmas choirs gets you into the holiday spirit.
What makes the Zoutsloot Christmas Market truly special is its beautiful setting along the canal and the warm hospitality of the residents, who festively decorate their historic houses. Among the stalls, you’ll find a wide variety of (Christmas) merchandise, from authentic delicacies to inspiring Christmas decorations and gifts.
Since its establishment in 2004, the Zoutsloot Christmas Market has grown to become THE Christmas market of Friesland, where thousands of visitors gather to enjoy everything Harlingen has to offer.
