Santa Croce’s Christmas Market in Florence is an annual tradition that has continued over the years. It takes place in the heart of Florence, in front of the Basilica di Santa Croce.
This Christmas market, also known to locals as the Weihnachtsmarkt, features over 50 stalls, each inviting guests to explore a wealth of handcrafted treasures, artisanal products, and festive ornaments. What is a bit unusual about this market is that culinary delicacies and gift items, besides being from Italy, are sourced from European countries such as France, Austria, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, and more.
As you walk through Santa Croce’s Christmas market, you can enjoy the melody of street musicians, the aroma of roasted chestnuts, and spiced wine, which truly add a festive atmosphere to the market.
