Launched by Julian Rożycki (a famous pharmacist and social activist) Różyckiego Market is the best market since the 19th century in Warsaw. As the town’s oldest market, Różyckiego Market (Różyc) thrived during Communism, becoming Poland’s most popular. It embodies Praga district’s distinct culture.
You can start your market round with a typical Pragian delicacy, the ‘pyzy’. Pyzy are often served in jars by old ladies and an absolute must-try. This market is vibrant and full of life it even ha its own brand, called Różyc Orchestra. They usually play old songs in their traditional outfits adding more to the market vibes.
