The Nikolausdorf Christmas Market (Village of St. Nicholas) is a traditional German Christmas market centres around St. Nicholas theme. Features wooden stalls selling classic German fare and festive drinks in a setting that feels like stepping back in time.
The market is also home to St. Nicholas’s House (Nikolaushaus), a cozy and warm venue for all ages. It features St. Nicholas’s kitchen, his desk with a golden guest book for visitors, his armchair, library, and plenty of space for activities. Kids can meet St. Nicholas himself every day between 4:15pm and 4:45pm.
The Nikolausdorf Christmas Market offers various mulled wines including red, white, rosé, and blueberry varieties from a local vintners. Visitors can also enjoy traditional eggnog, while children have their own special non-alcoholic punch and hot chocolate with whipped cream. The market claims to serve ‘Cologne’s Best Mulled Wine.’ There are also traditional market snacks such as potato pancakes (Reibekuchen), Prague ham, and sausages.
