Mercado Municipal dos Caliços is a charming local farmers market in Albufeira, a coastal city in the southern Algarve region of Portugal.
The market is divided into two sections: one for vegetables and fruits, and the other for fish. The fish is always fresh, with delicious sardines available at more reasonable prices than in supermarkets. Though small, Mercado Municipal dos Caliços is a highlight of Albufeira. In addition to the wide selection of produce, there are cafés and shops where you can enjoy coffee or pastries.
