The Raspail Organic Market (Marché Biologique Raspail) is an organic market in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It’s not to be confused with the regular Raspail market that operates on Tuesday and Friday at the same location.
This organic market has grown a lot in popularity in the last few years and it’s often mentioned as THE organic market in Paris, even though it’s one of four. For the best experience, it’s best to arrive early. The market boasts an impressive array of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, and meats, along with handmade items, scarves, wine, cosmetics and household items, all with a focus on sustainability.
The bakery stall located halfway through the market provides chairs for visitors to sit and enjoy a coffee. At the end of the market, there’s an excellent galette and crepe stand that comes highly recommended.
Compost bins with foot pedals are available at the market, located right in front of the Rennes metro exit on the rue de Rennes side. The pedal feature allows for hands-free operation, which is convenient when disposing of organic waste while shopping.
