The Lille Christmas Village (Village de Noël de Lille) is a Christmas market that has been operating in Place Rihour, Lille, northern France for over 30 years. The six-week event features 90 wooden chalets hosting various vendors and artisans.
The market offers a wide range of products including:
- Local craft beers and seasonal specialties (L’échoppe du Père Noël – craft beers made in the Lille metropolitan area)
- Gourmet foods (foie gras, oysters, panettone, honey products)
- Artisanal crafts (woodwork, leather goods, jewellery)
- Christmas decorations and gifts
- Winter clothing and accessories
- Wellness products
- Food and beverages, including vin chaud (mulled wine)
A distinctive feature is the “Solidarity Chalet,” managed in partnership with the Lille City Hall, where local associations sell affordable products to support community initiatives.
Regular entertainment includes musical and light shows on Thursday evenings and various contests and giveaways.
Visitors can take in Lille’s twinkling skyline from the iconic 50-meter Grand Place Ferris Wheel (La Grande Roue de Lille) at Place du Général de Gaulle.
