The Joinville Market (Marché Joinville or Marché de Joinville) is a produce market in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. It’s a small neighbourhood market with all the usual market offerings: fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood, meat, herbs, cheese, household items and more.
There’s a diverse range of products on offer, including organic items, farm-fresh goods, and imported produce sourced at the Rungis wholesale market. While the quality can be inconsistent, you can find some excellent producers if you know where to look. The prices are generally low.
I visited this market in June 2023 and the vendors were friendly, but I got told off for taking photos 🙂 Pas de photos madame!
Important: The market is closed on 8 September 2024 due to an Olympics event.
