In the Małopolska region, located south of the country takes place the Earth Market or Targ Pietruszkowy (“parsley market”) in Kraków. Since June 2013 this agricultural market brings you the local producers’ healthy and sustainable food every Saturday.
Numorous small-scale producers participate in the market selling fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, oils, honey, cheese, freshwater fish and more. There are some stalls selling street food made from the ingredients sourced from the market directly. It is 100% local cause the sellers come from 150-kilometer radius of Kraków. It also means that they are fresh and seasonal.
Earth Market also collaborates with other organizations and foundations. Due to these collaborations the market organizes days in particular themes like conscious shopping workshops and fair trades.
Karków’s Earth Market is the best destination in search of food produced in a sustainable way and without the use of pesticides and antibiotics.
