Nestled in the heart of the Burgundy wine region, the weekly market in Beaune embodies the essence of French charm. The market on Wednesday morning is smaller and is solely for food products, while the Saturday morning market in Beaune is a much larger event with over 150 stalls. It is a delightful affair spread between Place Carnot and Place de La Halle and under the covered halls (Les Halles). From fresh produce, meats, cheeses and regional specialties to fashionable clothes, shoes, handbags, linen, baskets, handmade jewellery and other accessories, the Saturday market has it all.
On Saturday from March to November, the market is also accompanied by a flea market at Place Carnot.
