The antique and book market is a flea market in The Hague, The Netherlands open on Thursdays and Sundays from early May until late September on the Lange Voorhout. It is the perfect place for antique enthusiasts to discover curiosities, old prints, books in Dutch, English, French and other languages, paintings, small furniture, tableware, silverware, and other bric-à-brac. There are around 50 stalls filled with antiques and books. There are also a couple of food trucks with chairs and tables to take a break from browsing.
During the winter, the market is only operating on Thursdays with only a couple of stalls, depending on the weather.
The market currently takes place at the Lange Voorhout, an L-shaped street in the old city centre of The Hague surrounded by tall linden trees and notable buildings. It is just a few steps away from the Binnenhof, the Dutch parliament building and the Mauritshuis, an art museum that is home to the famous Girl With the Pearl Earring painting by Johannes Vermeer and other Dutch Golden Age paintings. The street is home to several markets in The Hague, including the Royal Christmas Fair and the weekly farmers market.
