In front of the beautiful Notre Dame du Sablon church is the Sablon Antiques Market, one of the oldest in Brussels.
The market’s story began with Mr. Georges Van de Weghe, an antique dealer who received permission from the priest to display his engravings after mass. Gradually, more dealers joined, and the market officially began on April 3, 1960.
Today, you can find many treasures here if you are truly enthusiastic. The diverse array of collections includes books, watches, candlesticks, jewelry, paintings, and more. On the historic square, you’ll also find cafés and chocolatiers, perfect for relaxing after your hunt. Sablon Antiques Market is the perfect place for the historic atmosphere in Brussels.
