The Hemelse Streekmarkt (Hemelum Regional Market) is a monthly farmers’ market organised throughout the summer by the team of the Flinkefarm, an event space in Friesland. It takes place every first Sunday of the month and provides an opportunity for local producers of food and drinks to sell their products. Besides food handmade products can also be sold. You’ll find Frisian cheese, honey, jam and chutney and garden plants, wine, granola, eggs and much more at this market.
Each month a chef from one of the local restaurants gets the chance to create a unique lunch with products from the market and serve it to people gathered around long tables. These lunches fill up quickly, so it’s a good idea to book your seat early via email. Click here to check out the chefs for each market.
