The “Laag Hollandse Makersmarkt” (Old Holland Makers Market) is a creative market on the square called Kaasmarkt (cheese market) in Purmerend, the Netherlands.
The Kaasmarkt – just like in the past – is transformed into a bustling market square with the tastiest and most beautiful products from the region. Various local makers present their finest products at the market. You can find everything from flowers, De Beemster and vegan cookies to handmade jewellery and flowers at this seasonal market.
This time around, the market is brimming with diversity, offering delightful music and entertaining activities during your visit. The Dutch Music Academy starts off the series of seasonal markets this time. With any luck, the sun will be shining, perfect for relaxing on one of the nearby terraces. There’s a special balloon artist for children from 11am to 1pm. Don’t miss the chance for a free photo at the photobooth.
