The Szeged Bridge Market (Szegedi Hídivásár) is one of the biggest artisanal fairs in Hungary, held in Szeged, the third-largest city. The unique setting – the Downtown Bridge (Belvárosi híd) and the historical Oskola Street and Híd Street- attracts enthusiasts of artisanal crafts. It is not just a market but a community and cultural event that is widely popular and eagerly awaited every year by locals and visitors alike.
Artisans, craftsmen, and artists from Hungary and the neighbouring countries offer their products throughout the weekend on the Downtown Bridge and the surrounding streets. At the stalls, everyone can choose from the masterpieces of the country’s best ceramic artists, leather craftsmen, and wood carvers.
The Szeged Bridge Market is part of the “Day of Szeged” program series celebrating the anniversary of the city with a Wine Festival, concerts, cultural programs and fireworks in May.
