Every Wednesday the Haarlemmerplein in Amsterdam is home to the Boerenmarkt (farmers’ market). The vendors are often the same people who have grown and/or produced the products being sold. It’s a great place to do your weekly groceries directly from the source! You can buy fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry, artisanal bread and pastries, flowers and more. There are also a number of food trucks for a quick snack.
