The Aligre Market (Marché d’Aligre) is a daily outdoor market located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France. The market is situated near the Place d’Aligre and takes its name from this historic square.
Unlike most Parisian outdoor markets that operate only 2-3 days a week, the Aligre Market is open daily, except for Mondays. It is comprised of different sections, each offering its own unique experience. The outdoor market, also known as Marché découvert Beauvau, is where local vendors set up their stalls to sell fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, and flowers. It’s a lively and colourful scene, with vendors passionately promoting their goods and shoppers selecting the best ingredients for their meals.
Adjacent to outdoor market is the covered market, known as Marché couvert Beauvau.
In addition to the food market, there is also a flea market, known as the Rue d’Aligre flea market (Marché aux Puces d’Aligre), which operates on the square. This small flea market is a treasure trove for antique lovers and bargain hunters, offering an assortment of vintage items, second-hand goods, unique collectibles and other bric-à-brac.

Market tips
Want to wander around Marché d’Aligre with a local? I wholeheartedly recommend the morning food walk with Silvia. She’ll get you the most delectable pain au chocolate and the best coffee in Paris (coffee can be terrible in Paris, but trust me, this is really good coffee!!). Then you’ll pick up fruit, olives, fresh baguette, meats and cheeses from different vendors at the market and have a little picnic. It’s the best way to spend a morning in Paris.
