Kutschkermarkt is one of only two remaining permanent street markets in Vienna, located in the 18th district and first recorded in 1885. Most of the produce is organic or locally sourced, and the quality is generally high, though prices reflect that.
The vendors are varied, with Turkish kebab, French crepes, Italian handmade pasta, and Austrian organic produce all available here. Several cafes and a coffee roaster are also part of the market street, making it a practical spot for breakfast or a casual lunch. Saturday is the busiest and most worthwhile day to visit, when the farmer’s market additions expand the range considerably.
