Naschmarkt Flea Market (Flohmarkt beim Naschmarkt) is Austria’s largest flea market, held every Saturday at the Kettenbrückengasse car park area at the end of the Naschmarkt. The market runs year-round regardless of weather. Around 400 vendors set up here each week, with roughly half the spaces reserved for established professional antique dealers and the other half open to private sellers, who are limited to three appearances per year. Items you can find here include:
- Antiques and collectibles: Swords, pistols, militaria from various periods, Austrian ceramics, fine dinnerware, decorative pieces, original oil paintings, prints, vintage photographs, jewelry, watches, furniture, decorative items, Austrian craftsmanship.
- Books, records, and media: vintage records of classical, jazz, folk, and international rarities; German literature; art books; historical texts; rare-edition books; original sheet-music compositions; postcards; and historical Vienna imagery.
- Vintage fashion and textiles: Traditional Austrian clothing – Dirndls, lederhosen, folk costumes, vintage fashion of 1960s-1980s designer pieces, retro accessories, linens, lace, vintage fabrics, costume jewelry and unique pieces from different eras
