The Navigli Antique Market (Mercatone dell’Antiquariato) is held on the last Sunday of every month along the Naviglio Grande canal in Milan. The market is 2 kilometres long, starting from Viale Gorizia toward the Darsena. It has over 350 vendors set up on both sides of the canal. What the vendors sell ranges from antique furniture and mid-century modern pieces to vintage clothing, Murano glass, rare vinyl, old comic books, and smaller design objects. If you’re after bargains rather than specific finds, later in the day, as vendors start packing up, tends to be a better time to negotiate. There are cafes and restaurants along the canal if you need a break during the day.
