The L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Antiques Fair and Flea Market (Foire Antiquités & Brocante de L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue) is held in one of Europe’s leading antiques hubs, located in the charming Provençal town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, often called the “Venice of Provence” for its picturesque canals and waterways.
This major antiques event is held twice a year in spring and summer. The fair takes place primarily in the scenic Parc Gautier, situated on the banks of the Sorgue river in the city centre, with additional displays along Avenue des Quatre Otages.
The event brings together around 250 professional antique dealers and second-hand specialists from France and across Europe, all members of the SNCAO-GA trade association. These exhibitors commit to ethical selling practices by signing the Marcus Decree charter, which ensures authentic merchandise and honest representation of items. Buyers can shop with confidence thanks to the “Authenticity-Quality” label and free appraisal services available on-site.
The fair draws an impressive crowd of more than 100,000 visitors annually, including many international guests, making it one of the region’s most popular antiques destinations.
Known as the third largest European centre for antiques after London and Paris, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is also home to around 300 permanent antique dealers, creating multiple “antique villages“. The riverside town earned its reputation as the biggest antiques centre in France outside of Paris.
