Every Friday and Saturday, the historic city centre of Dordrecht, the Netherlands comes alive with its award-winning weekly market that takes place on the Statenplein and the Sarisgang. It’s a traditional Dutch “warenmarkt” (goods market) with vendors offering local and international cheese, flowers and plants, fruits and vegetables, bread and pastries, meat, fish and seafood. There are also stalls with clothes and textiles, including a stall with second-hand designer clothing. Dutch snacks like fries and stroopwafels are available at food stalls.
