While they may not resemble the traditional Easter markets of Vienna and are not exclusively themed around Easter, these Easter markets in the Netherlands are a fun way to spend the long holiday weekend. We compiled a list of the best markets from all over the country happening between 29 March and 1 April.

  • What: Lifestyle market with handmade products and antiques. You can expect a wide range of goods from food, fashion, art, interior design, jewellery and accessories, to vinyls and vintage products. There is also live music and a 100-year-old carousel.

Middelburg Easter Fair

  • What: The Middelburg Easter Fair is an antique market and brocante with antiques, bric-à-brac, art, books and more held in the beautiful historic centre of Middelburg in Zeeland.

Sunday Market Rokin

  • What: The Rokin market is one of the four popular Sunday markets of Amsterdam organised on the last Sunday of every month that happens to be Easter Sunday this year. Shop from independent designers, artists, creators and curators or get a tasty snack from one of the food trucks.

Suikermarkt Vintage Festivalmarkt

  • What: A fun market with a selection of vintage, retro, and secondhand products, curiosities, and handmade items. There will be live music, face painting for kids, and cool food trucks.

Paasmarkt Orvelte (Easter Market)

  • What: Over the years, the Easter market has become a tradition in Orvelte, a historical village in the heart of Drenthe. The vendors offer a selection of handmade products, accessories, jewellery, snacks, home goods, bath products, and more.

Waluw Vintage Market

  • What: The Waluw Vintage Market features a wide array of vintage items, including clothing, furniture, decor, and accessories from various eras. Paasmarkt Valkenburg – Braderie

  • What: Home to the famous Christmas market, Valkenburg aan de Geul also hosts a yearly Easter braderie. In addition to spring accessories, you’ll find clothing, souvenirs, entertainment, and freshly baked fish, which is a must-try in the town on the Geul river.

Paasmarkt Vlissingen (Easter Market)

  • What: On Easter Sunday over 150 stalls take over the boulevard of Vlissingen, the longest sea boulevard in the Netherlands. It’s the perfect place to leisurely stroll along the water and browse the selection of clothes, jewellery, leather goods, phone accessories, traditional Dutch market snacks and more.

Paasmarkt Noordermarkt (Easter Market)

  • What: The Saturday and Monday markets on the Noordermarkt are an institution in Amsterdam with a loyal customer base. The market is also open on Easter Monday with brocante, new and vintage fashion, jewellery, delicious food and drinks and more!

Paasmarkt Born (Easter market)

  • What: On Easter Monday, the centre of Born, a village in the Dutch province of Limburg, transforms into a gezellige Easter market. More than 200 merchants set up their stalls selling clothing, jewellery, antiques, bric-à-brac, books, toys and more. After strolling around, you can enjoy a variety of delicious food options at the spring market.

Paasmarkt Drachten (Easter market)

  • What: A traditional Dutch market held once a year on Easter Monday in the centre of Drachten, Friesland. There’s also a kermis in town, so you can make a fun day out of it with the whole family!

Zeldzaam Mooi Market

Annual Market “De Heugte” in Kampen

  • What: The traditional annual market “De Heugte” offers a delightful outing for both young and old! The market’s history dates back to the 14th century. Stretching over a kilometre, you’ll discover an array of stalls offering everything from the famous rotisserie chicken to shoes, clothes, bags, and flowers. And for the kids, there are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy, including the ever-popular large claw machine.

Leeuwarden (FR)

Supervlooi

  • What: Supervlooi is the largest indoor flea market in Northern Netherlands. You’ll find everything from  bric-à-brac, books, toys, clothes to antiques, furniture, home goods, and a lot more. The Stoffen Spektakel (fabric market) is held on the same day at the same location. At this event, you’ll find a wide range of fabrics, including women’s, children’s, and lining fabrics, haute couture, bridal, curtain, upholstery, decorative, real or faux leather, faux fur, tablecloths and more. Additionally, you’ll find all the necessary supplies and haberdashery for sewing.

Liempde (NB)

Boeremèrt in Liempde, Noord Brabant

  • What: On Easter Monday, the village centre of Liempde in the municipality Boxtel transforms into the Brabantse Boeremèrt (Brabant Farmer’s Market). Stalls are filled with delicacies like “worstenbrood” (sausage rolls) and “ spekstruif” (bacon pudding). Market traders wear traditional attire and enthusiastically sell their goods with hand gestures. You can witness old crafts coming to life, with clog makers demonstrating their skills, troubadours serenading the crowd, and the carousel spinning joyfully. If you’re looking to experience authentic Dutch folk traditions, this market is a must-visit!

Paasmarkt Panningen, Limburg (Easter market)
