This weekend, explore over 50 flea markets and creative markets across the Netherlands from north to south. Saturday features markets in nine provinces, from the cozy morning market in Vledder to Amsterdam’s famous Waterlooplein. Sunday brings even more options, with large indoor events at Groningen’s Sportcentrum Kardinge and Maastricht’s MECC, plus numerous neighbourhood sales. Most markets are free entry, with a few charging β¬2-6 admission. Look for the special icons that indicate large markets (π), regular weekly markets (ποΈ), vintage and antique markets (πΊ), or “rommelroutes” (neighbourhood sales) (ποΈ). This guide organises everything by province to help you plan your weekend treasure hunt.
Important: Before you visit a market, especially during cold, rainy, or windy weather, check the organiser’s website (linked under “more info”) to confirm it’s proceeding. Outdoor markets may be cancelled in the last minute due to poor weather conditions.

FAQ
What's a creative market?
A creative market brings together diverse vendors including independent designers, artists, craftspeople, food vendors and trucks, with some markets featuring entertainment like music. These markets focus on handmade, artistic, and unique items rather than mass-produced goods.
