The Ørestad Flea Market (Ørestad Loppemarked) started in mid-2020 and has since become quite popular amongst people in Copenhagen. The initiative was taken by Bjørn Herholdt Jensen, who thought that Ørestad, a developing city area in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the island of Amager, needed more activity.
It is held approximately one weekend a month from April to September, with over 100 stalls. The sellers are both professionals and private individuals offering their goods. The mission of Ørestad Flea Market Copenhagen is to establish a huge outdoor market in Copenhagen at a fair price. Since 2023, this organisation has also been running Copenhagen’s Longest Flea Market, which you should definitely check out!
