The Bourse Market (Marché Bourse) is a small outdoor neighbourhood market in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, France. It is held twice a week on Place de la Bourse, just in front of Palais Brongniart, the 19th-century stock exchange built at the direction of Napoleon, now a conference venue. There are only around 20 stalls, but it has just enough to cover everyday needs for locals and workers from nearby offices: fresh fish, fruits and vegetables, cheese, some clothes and other items. There are also stalls with takeaway meals, including Moroccan and other African cuisines.
It’s worth noting that this market is open until 8 in the evening on market days, so residents can stop by on their way home from work or school.
Important: The market is closed from 26 July until 9 August 2024 due to the Olympics.
