The Groningen Christmas Market, known as Winterstad Groningen, takes place at Grote Markt in the north of The Netherlands. The market features stalls with selling handmade gifts, crafts, and seasonal food and drinks including hot chocolate, bratwurst, and glühwein.
Activities include an ice skating rink, with special themed days and ice discos organised throughout the season. There’s also a winter café with live music, a Christmas ride, a Christmas train and a ferris wheel.
The winter café serves coffee, tea, soft drinks, hot chocolate, and alcoholic drinks.
