The largest gluten-free Christmas Market in Germany is organised by Gasthaus Bischenberg at Kurpark in Sasbachwalden, a wine village in the Black Forest. 2026 will be the market’s 10th event, and it will take place over two weekends during Advent, totalling five days.
The market was created so that people with celiac disease can finally enjoy all the Christmas market treats they usually have to go without. Almost all the vendors live with food intolerances themselves, so they know exactly what it takes to make food that’s both safe and delicious. There are over twenty vendors offering different types of gluten-free food using high-quality and natural ingredients such as gingerbread, Christmas cookies, mulled wine, crepes, waffles, sausages, traditional pasta dishes such as Spätzle, Schupfnudeln, and Maultaschen, burgers, and more. Other than gluten-free products, some vendors also sell lactose-free and vegan food.
