The Brussels Christmas Market is a part of Brussels Winter Wonders (Plaisirs d’hiver/Winterpret), a Christmas event series held in Belgium’s capital. The market spreads across several locations in the city centre. Vismet/Place Sainte-Catherine has the most chalets, with seasonal foods and gifts. You’ll also find a ferris wheel and other rides here. Place de la Bourse has lit-up chalets serving food, while Place de la Monnaie specialises in alpine-style dishes, drinks, and sweets. Place de Brouckère is a pedestrian area with an ice skating rink, curling rinks, and chalets with covered terraces. The Stella Artois Pavilion at Vismet is a spot to grab a local beer.
The market extends to Rue de la Madeleine, where artisans from Galerie Bortier, and local shops set up chalets. Galerie Bortier also hosts the Creators Factory for three weekends in collaboration, focusing on ethical and sustainable products.
The Winter Wonders quality label is awarded to craftspeople-producers who meet criteria regarding product origin and quality.
