Fresh fish, beer, traditional German street food, and a vibrant hub. This is how we describe the Fish Market in Hamburg.
Held in the Fish Market Hall, located next to a market over 100 years old, built in 1703. It has been selling the freshest fish in town ever since. The estimated amount of fish sold here is about 36,000 tons, which accounts for 14 percent of Germany’s fresh fish supply. But the Fish Market is not just about fish. You can also find fresh vegetables, fruit, various kinds of meat, and local herbs.
Once you’re done shopping, it’s time for breakfast. On the main floor, you can find everything from waffles to wurst. So immerse yourself in the german atmosphere.
Note! As its opening hours are not very long, it can be crowded. Also, it is recommended not to wear your nicest shoes because it can be dirty.
