This weekend (4-5 October) brings dozens of flea markets and creative markets across the Netherlands. Saturday’s highlights include a flea market at the Bonifaciuskerk in Medemblik, or the unique Plukmarkt (apple picking market) at Landgoed De Olmenhorst in Lisserbroek. If you’re looking for creative markets, check out The Hague’s Le Marie MarchΓ© on Lange Vijverberg or Utrecht’s Eg Utregs Food & Cultuur Straatfestival.
Sunday offers major indoor flea markets in Noord-Brabant, from large-scale events at Tilburg’s Koning Willem II Stadium to Waalwijk’s parking lot market. Don’t miss Amsterdam’s Sportcentrum Ookmeer market or Haarlem’s Kennemer Sportcenter event. Creative markets include the Pure Markt in Amsterdam’s Amsterdamse Bos and the Zeldzaam Mooi Markt in Gouda’s historic market square.
Important: Before you visit a market, especially during cold, rainy, or windy weather, check the organiser’s website (linked under “more info”) to confirm it’s proceeding. Outdoor markets may be cancelled in the last minute due to poor weather conditions.

FAQ
What's a creative market?
A creative market brings together diverse vendors including independent designers, artists, craftspeople, food vendors and trucks, with some markets featuring entertainment like music. These markets focus on handmade, artistic, and unique items rather than mass-produced goods.
I want to go to a market on the list. Where exactly is it?
Each market location is listed and linked to Google Maps.
Is this market I want to go to still happening?
The markets on this list were confirmed when we last updated the page. Markets may be cancelled due to weather or other reasons. While we note cancellations when informed, we don’t actively monitor all markets’ status. Before traveling, check the organiser’s website (linked under “more info” for each listing) to confirm the market is still happening.
Does this list include every market in The Netherlands?
Not all markets in the Netherlands are featured. We curate these lists and usually donβt include very small markets. We reserve the right to exclude any markets for any reason.
How can I add a market to this list?
Send us an email to hey@whereisthemarket.com with the following details about the market: name, exact location, opening hours, number of stalls, type of market (what is being sold at this market?), link to website/social media pages.
Thereβs a mistake in the list.
Oops, our bad! Please send us an email to hey@whereisthemarket.com with the correct market details.
What do the letters in parentheses (like 'ZH') represent?
The letters in parentheses after a city name (such as ‘ZH’ in ‘Schiedam (ZH)’) indicate the Dutch province where the location is situated.
