Last updated: 10 September 2025
This weekend (13-14 September) offers over 80 markets across the Netherlands. Saturday starts early with Rotterdam’s Binnenrotte opening at 8am and Hulst at 8am in Zeeland. You’ll find Amsterdam’s famous Waterlooplein market running from 9:30am-6pm, plus the unique “An Afternoon with the Collectors” at De Hallen. Don’t miss Delft’s charming Hippolytusbuurt market running all day from 9am-5pm.
Sunday features over 45 markets spread across nearly every province. Noord-Brabant dominates with 12 different locations, including large venues at Breda’s NAC Stadion and multiple Eindhoven markets. Gelderland offers the two-day GelreDome market in Arnhem continuing from Saturday. Most markets are completely free, with entrance fees ranging from just β¬1-6 for the larger indoor venues.
Important: Before you visit a market, especially during cold, rainy, or windy weather, check the organiser’s website (linked under “more info”) to confirm it’s proceeding. Outdoor markets may be cancelled in the last minute due to poor weather conditions.

FAQ
What's a creative market?
A creative market brings together diverse vendors including independent designers, artists, craftspeople, food vendors and trucks, with some markets featuring entertainment like music. These markets focus on handmade, artistic, and unique items rather than mass-produced goods.
I want to go to a market on the list. Where exactly is it?
Each market location is listed and linked to Google Maps.
Is this market I want to go to still happening?
The markets on this list were confirmed when we last updated the page. Markets may be cancelled due to weather or other reasons. While we note cancellations when informed, we don’t actively monitor all markets’ status. Before traveling, check the organiser’s website (linked under “more info” for each listing) to confirm the market is still happening.
Does this list include every market in The Netherlands?
Not all markets in the Netherlands are featured. We curate these lists and usually donβt include very small markets. We reserve the right to exclude any markets for any reason.
How can I add a market to this list?
Send us an email to hey@whereisthemarket.com with the following details about the market: name, exact location, opening hours, number of stalls, type of market (what is being sold at this market?), link to website/social media pages.
Thereβs a mistake in the list.
