Chianti Calssico Wine Festival is located in the beautiful Tuscan town of Greve in Chianti, Florence. It is organized by the local municipality and brings a vibrant atmosphere to the streets.
It usually takes place on the second weekend of September, every year. This four-day event is all about tasting the wine of Chianti, from all producers of “Black Roosters”. In addition to the wine tasting, you can find cold cuts and cheeses, also olive oils. During the weekend, music plays a significant role at the festival, as it should, and varies from chamber music to pop and DJs. This event is not only good for enjoying the festival but also gives an opportunity to explore the historic Greve in Chianti.
Note: if you buy a wine glass from the Segretaria with a ticket it allows you to taste up to 8 wines offered by the stands there
